The Key Worker Group The key worker group , since April 2006, has been combined with the low cost home ownership group to form an Intermediate Housing Group. Information from this page will be transferred to the Intermediate Housing page and the page will soon be shut down. The Key Worker group originated as a sub group of the SELHP Development Group. Liaison between the 2 groups is crucial but the Key Worker group has now extended so that it offers a forum at which to discuss and plan arrangements for the implementation of the Government's Key Worker Living programme. The key worker group was responsible for the development of a protocol between the boroughs and the NHS Estates and for the formulation of a key worker strategy. The key worker strategy was informed by an analysis of existing information about the demand for and supply of key worker housing in SE London that was commissioned on behalf of the group in March 2004. Because the NHS is a key player in the field of key worker housing the group covers SE London as defined by the NHS - and therefore LB Lambeth is included in this group. The group includes "non Zone Agent RSLs" - i.e. those RSLs that provide or are due to provide key worker housing in SE London but who have not been designated as the 'Zone Agent'. After March 2006 the partnership's Key Worker and Low Cost Home Ownership (LCHO) Groups will merger to form an Intermediate Housing Group. Tower Homes, the current Zone Agent for key worker housing in SE London, has produced information about take up of Key Working Living (Homebuy) in SE and SW London for April-Sept. 2005. A further template has now been drafted for monitoring take up of key worker schemes across each of London 's sub regions. |
