The housing associations in this partnership are involved in bringing empty homes back into use via Homes & Community Agency funding (Temporary Social Housing Grant).

Local authorities are involved in a programme funded from the London Targeted Funding Stream. A fact sheet summarises this programme.  Grants or loans may be available to assist with bringing properties back into use.

Borough applications for funding for schemes in this programme are based on a simple pro forma.

The empty homes group has adopted a sub regional 'Empty Homes Grants and Loans Design Standard'., updated July 2010.  The purpose of the guide is to achieve consistently high but achievable standards that comply with recent Government guidelines and ensure an adequate level of comfort and safety for future occupants of empty homes.
